Today we hosted grade 12 biology students from Elmwood School. Myriam and Erin taught the students how to genotype mice using PCR and gel electrophoresis, and we visualized mouse islets using immunofluorescence staining. Myron Smith gave us a tour of the greenhouses and research garden. #protip: hot peppers are a great way to deter groundhogs in your garden!
